Arrow Will Liverpool be crowned European Champions again?

After, this matchdays performance they have proven how good a team they are and are capable of anything - even winning the Cup a second time in 3 years.

What do you think?

I think so (by the way I'm not a Liverpool fan).
Without a world-class striker though, they will still need Gerrard to deliver a couple of his match-winning performances.

Default Any of the teams left in competition could win it now

I think that Man Utd, Chelsea and Valencia have the best chances.

Liverpool can be very good on their day and if Kuyt starts to score like he can they also have a good chance. They need to avoid playing with Crouch if he isn't in his best form, as he just misses so many easy chances (even Fowler is more reliable).

And never ever write off Italian or German teams (Roma and Bayern Munich). I think it might be too much for AC Milan to do it this time though.

I disagree with JonnyPro, i think that Crouch will be a vital player for the team if they are to proceed further. The form of Kuyt is a worry as he has shown nothing since his move, his first touch is really poor and he makes Jan Molby look like Ben Johnson on a double perscription. Crouch is the best striker Liverpool have and when Benitez buys big in the summer i hope he gets rid of the silly little welsh thug and the Duthch playboy.

Default Have you got the double prescription hide-me?

First of all, Crouch clearly has neither the pace nor the predatory instincts at the top level. He is fine if you want some goals against the likes of Jamaica but he hardly ever scores crucial goals against the big teams. He is good when on his very top form but only good, not great.

Did you see England v Spain? Intelligent defenders know that if they do not jump for the ball against Crouch he will always lean all over them/pull their shirt (even their hair sometimes!) and concede yet another free kick. I like the guy, he has tremendous character, but he is clearly not a top striker.

As for Kuyt being a Dutch playboy? He looks like Sloth from the Goonies, how is that playboy material??? He has done a lot more than nothing, he displays the intelligent movement of a Dutch striker and has scored some quality goals already for Liverpool.
Crouch a top striker!?

I really hope they can, they definitely have the character. If they have a bit of fortune and dont make silly mistakes, i think it could be their year.

Default Told you so jonnypro

Lets take a moment to reflect on the current form of Crouch,

.......three against Arsenal and England can't play without him

Lets take a moment to reflect on the current form of Kuyt,

.......can't score for Liverpool and can't get in the Dutch team.

Default Let's just reflect on who Crouch scored against...

... Arsenal are a great team when on form but THEIR SEASON IS ALREADY OVER, they know it and are currently playing like it. PSV are awful, they were thrashed by Ajax recently and decided not to even play one striker against Liverpool. Crouch's goal against PSV came when they had already conceded two away goals and THEY KNEW THEY WERE OUT.

Looks like my argument is still valid. Come back when Crouch scores in a Champions league Final or against a top 10 International team. I said he is a good striker but not great and deep down you know this is true.

Maybe you should go and hide!
