I just came back from my skiing holiday in Bulgaria. It seems this year the popular ski resort Bansko has turned into building site with many Brits and Irish snapping in frenzy off-plan flats that are never seem enough to satisfy demand. No surprise when this proves to be both good investment with 30% annual growth and a nice place for ski holiday. Since I always wanted to buy on a mountain but the traditional Apline resorts are too expensive I have decided to join the crowds before it is not too late and started looking in property web sites specializing in ski properties in Bulgaria. I was pleasantly surprised that prices for ski apartments in another resort Pamporovo start at $20,000 for a studio in a luxury development. The big change this year for property investors in Bulgaria will be the arrival of more airlines, such as Ryanair and Easyjet, cutting the cost of travel and boosting the number of visitors which I hope will help pushing up the price of my Bulgarian investment in future.
Do you think I am on the right track? Good luck Last edited by nickevans109 : 11.04.07 at 12:44. |

You must need to study every detail but investing in those kinds of business is great and I guess it would be well paid off but it's seasonal, obviously.
Good luck man! __________________________________________________ ________ The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. where to look for snowboard buying guide and waxing a snowboard video? |

Hey Nick,
Think investing there is a good idea (if you have the money). I was on skiing holiday in Bulgaria with a friend last year. The holiday was simply fantastic,..liked it better than other Europen skiing regions I must say. His parents own some property in Bulgaria and have mainly invested in skiing areas. I guess they are making quite a bit of money on it. My friend said that predictions are that prices will rise even more in the years to come, due to the enlargment of the EU and of course because the country will become better accsessible through the airlines (as you mentioned). Hope you'll invite me when you have got a nice apparment there ;-) |

Bansko is certainly a resort on the up and considered one of the better cheap alternatives in Europe. Not sure I would be jumping in to invest with the current Credit Crunch effects affecting property markets worldwide......
But good skiing! |
