Tell us what books you have recently purchased so we can look at you in awe, or laugh and point at you for buying rubbish.

Reading lots at the moment and found the autobiography of Sarah Miles ( starred in Ryans Daughter) fascinating reading.
Also have recently read alot of Harlan Coben and Lee Childs books, if you like fast moving plots they are page turning.

Finally got Pam Ayres " Surgically Enhanced " she makes me laugh, that woman is funny.
I even found the quote I want on my headstone although that means I would have to be burried and I don't like small confined spaces

BONEMEAL

Bury me beside my dogs,
The dogs I loved and knew,
So, as in life, they,ll never be
Short of a bone to chew. ( however they will have a long wait.)

Recently purchased and read The Quickie by James Patterson-enjoyed that, now reading Karin Slaughter-Skin Privelidge just started but have read Faithless which was good. Looking forward to the new Lynda Le Plante release in Sept called Clean Cut-all her books have been great! I like crime/murder/thriller books . Enjoyed all of Martina Cole's books and Mandasue Heller's.

We have quite a similar taste in books, have just purchased The Quickie but also have a Lee Childs book on the go as well.I love good fictional fast moving plots and total escapism where in the end the bad guys get their comuppance Have read all of Karin Slaughters books and Lynda Le Plante (shall look forward to the new one),find Martina Coles books abit boring the charactors seem to have abit of the same theme.Shall look out for the other author you have mentioned as I don't think I have read any of those

Ha A problem shared is a problem halved, glad to have some recomendations.I always seem to be in a hurry when choosing books to read.I love to guess at the plot to see if I'm right, the best books are the ones full of twists and turns. The more underworld and horrific the better

I can spend hours reading covers in bookshops-mostly though they get thrown in the trolley at asda if i like the title- I bought Jackie Collins at the airport to read on the beach, couldn't get into it, boring and predictable.Let you know if i come accross any gems
