there was some talk of getting these up and running again in place of pointless friendlies against mediocre european opposition.

i for one am right behind this move, the games would have a bit of bite to them and the way england are playing at the moment, it would be quite amusing to see them finish midtable at best.

of course, that is if they took part. they recently dismissed the idea despite scotland, wales and northern ireland being up for it.

are they scared of taking another beating in belfast? or perhaps another beating from scotland at the new wembley? at least they'd get a point or 3 in cardiff...
