Default Watershed Season

It's something of a shame that the World Cup has overshadowed thus season's F1 Championship. We're witnessing Fernando Alonso do what Chelsea were so successful at doing in the Premiership this year: Follow up a momentous victory with an equally impressive defence of the title.
Alonso is known to all on the grid. His team, Renault, have set the standard for all the other constructors to mark themselves against. In short, he and his car are a very known quantity. And yet he is still able to raise himself and his team to formidable victory after victory. He has reinvigorated Schumacher, got the mighty Ferrari pushng themselves harder than ever before, and, despite the loss in Indianapolis, he remains calm and assured.
As the F1 circus returns to Europe there's a long way to go before the Chequered flag. Like the other Vodafone sponsored outfit, Man Utd, Ferrari may run Alonso and Renault close. But, Alonso looks well placed to follow Jose Mourhino's men to victory.

Actually it's quite good the World Cup has obscured the boring bit of the season with Alonso winning everything.
Now, just as the footy finishes, F1 is getting interesting again!

Hopefully Alonso and Renault get an hard time, so Schumacher and Ferrari can catch up. That way the championship will be interesting again. The season will be interesting, as Silly Season is starting
