Ball-Tampering fiasco

What a mess. Why did the Pakistanis not just take the field and appeal against the decision?
They really overreacted like a bunch of spoilt children, sulking in their dressing room.
Serves them right if they forfeit the match. By the letter of the rules they should.

I'm sorry, but The only thing Pakistan did wrong was get caught!!

Ball tampering (picking at the seam and cover) and pitch tampering (running onto the bowlers landing area), Barracking (Wicket Keeper telling the Batsman his wife is an ugly bitch just as the ball is bowled) have been going on since Cricket was first played.

It has always come under the protection of the Umpires turning a blind eye when these things happen, after all it's the same for both teams!! In my Humble opinion, on this occasion the Umpire should have simply said the ball has become unfit for play and replaced it. End Of.

But for the Umpire to actually come out and say the Ball has been tampered with (Effectively labeling the whole Team a bunch of cheats) is beyond belief. I doubt if that Umpire will ever Umpire another International Game!

The fact that they actually are a bunch of Whinging, Cheating tw@ts is beside the point, and that my friends has absolutely nothing to do with race, creed or religion.
