Default England trounced

How rubbish are England? - I know the All Blacks are good but after all the big talk before the game I expected more from our boys.

England was pretty bad. Especially when you realise that the All Blacks did not play up to their full potential. They made some bad defensive errors. Still, they were clinical in finishing and in capitalising on England's mistakes. And Dan Carter is the best fly half I have ever seen.

Yes it's hard to know where England are going wrong... I just can't believe we won the World Cup in 2003 ...

Sad Weak spine

I was sat amongst a sea of black on Sunday, so my perspective of the game might be a little coloured. But, I couldn't help but feel that there was an absence of players big enough to raise the team. When I look at the key positions I don't see any characters; tub thumpers, who will fire up the squad. Corry, at skipper, does not look like he has the team fighting for him. Hodgson, without doubt a skilled player, isn't displaying the bravery or accuracy that will encourage his teammates to get him within penalty range.
This is a team of individuals that were brutally shown up by the most ferocious attacking unit in world rugby. You could drive a buldozer through the NZ line they play so wide, yet they play without fear, knowing that they possess the skills to move the ball quickly and find the corners.
England need to find a style that suits some of the talent that's emerging, and play their own game.

Very true.
There's no leader like Dallaglio or even a real terrier like Matt Dawson.
Even more fatally, they have no match-winner - no Guscott, no Jonny Wilkinson and certainly no Dan Carter.

We were never going to beat the irish were we? They are in a different league all together... and where was robinson - we need him... and some more bristol players in the team.

We've definitley improved though to give credit weres its due... not sure if its anywhere near enough to beat the french but still...

Whats happened to Wales? No need to keep up with the Jones's in this tournament hey

I heard about this too! Those Irish lads play at a higher level than England at the moment and probably deserved to win too. England must move on quickly now and look forward to facing their next competitors and put this game behind them asap!

England weren't that bad.
Ireland just too good. It was great rugby to watch.
