Second Life. Have You Played

Has anyone played Second Life? If so whats your oppinion?

Haven't played it yet, but I am being put off by friends raving about how they are raising cash to buy an island, about the woman who made $175,000 selling Second Life real estate, about how you can buy genitalia in shops, about the s*x shops and strip clubs...
...Yawn.
I'm quite happy to converse like this.

MMM, hubby has just got involved with this game,suggested I give it a try,but as yet have not,never been into things like that myself,prefer just to chat myself,horses for courses I guess.

Good game,There is no fee for registering an account or participating in Second Life but it does not have points, scores, winners or losers, levels, an end-strategy.

I've played it - I like it, but since I'm not into the chat side of things, there's not much to do on a free account. I've paid up to get the ability to buy land, and I'm trying the building side of things now.

The concept of the game is pretty cool I think, but I haven't had the time to play it yet!
