Idea Are Dalmatians really scary animals?

I'm thinking of adopting a 5 year old Dalmatian in my 1 bedroom flat which I share with 2 mates. Friends of mine have told me that they have really bad characters and it might not be a good idea especially since I haven't brought it since it was a puppy.

Does anyone have any good advice?

Thanks!

Hmmm i've heard they are very lively but not scary. They have a lot of energy and a 1 bed flat is way too small for a pet let alone a dog... plus having 2 flat mates on top.

Maybe get a hamster or a goldfish

I know what you mean.. and thanks for that piece of advice but goldfish aren't fun! They're bo-oooooring and hamsters stink! I figured a dog might make the place more lively and the fact that I would havge to walk it every day means I also get to exercise...

I might have to sacrifice a housemate for the dog though...seems like a good deal.

I used to be a canine beautician, and i know a few things about dogs.
As long as you know it has come from a good home, and has been well looked after, you should be OK!!
most nasty dogs are only that way, because of the way its been treated!!
You have to be firm, but gentle!!!
HOPE THAT HELPS!!!!

Thanks Jenny!

Then I'll definitely get rid of the second housemate because I want my Dalmatian beauty to be treated like a Queen.
