Question Diplomas

Why are some subjects deemed suitable for diplomas when some are not? You can get a diploma in general knowledge, but not in trivia. Are we going to be able to get one in phaarp, or hamsters in the future?

I can't really see a Phaarp diploma being autherised. I'm Still looking for my History and Geography ones that disappeared before Christmas, I've been onto support but still no reply.

i gotta say that is does bug me that some subjects are diplomable and some aren't. what's more, is that we haven't been given a set list of diplomable subjects to attain, as t'were. some people have chosen their questions carefully and have lots of high level diplomas, and then you have folks like me who just answer whatever and have points spread out in subjects like "question" "words" "music question" "cars" (i know, of all things, cars) i have a "music" one, and "music question" just 85 points away.

Hamsters might be left to stand (who knows) but I don't think they'll authorise phaarp. I too have points spread out under different tags including "useless trivia" what are the chances they'll let that stand if I get enough points.
On a side note has anyone acheived any diplomas of recent? some of mine were 2 or 3 points away and they dissappeared and I have accumulated the required number but they are still gone so to speak (looks like the same problem as Div) and these are tags for which diplomas exist.

If you go to 'your profile', under your information and above 'your answers' are several options, one of which is 'my diplomas'.

Post Bachman Turner Overdrive

I have 278 in Music (21 required for silver) and 53 in Music Question. I think these could be tidied up. I don't mind having the separate genres like Pop Music (30) or Music Lyrics (37). I've no secret that my goal is to overtake Drackon in Music.

It's the only diploma that I am that bothered with. The main reason I'm here is because of you lot. "I love you"....hang on, we're in IQ Questions, not the pub.....

Thumb down phaarps

At the height of the phaarp mania, I received a message from cm saying that the use of the phaarp tag was inappropriate and that there would not be a diploma for it.
Also, trivia was not considered diploma-worthy.
